Bond Market Update

Welcome to my weekly update on the bond market and what it may mean for mortgage rates.

Rather than publishing generic mortgage rates that may not apply to your particular loan, I track the bond market—mostly the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield—to help explain the general direction of mortgage pricing. Treasury yields are a useful indicator of whether mortgage rates are trending higher or lower, but the two do not move exactly in tandem.

Your actual mortgage rate depends on several factors, including your loan type, loan amount, credit score, down payment, property type and occupancy. Contact me for an accurate quote based on your specific circumstances, or use this form on my website.
